Visiting Venice: useful information on the access fee

If you are planning to spend a day in Venice during your stay at Camping Enzo Stella Maris, it is worth taking a moment to understand how the access charge introduced by the City of Venice works.
In recent times, this topic has generated doubts, not always correct interpretations and partial information. Precisely in order to avoid misunderstandings and to enable you to plan your visit with peace of mind, we have compiled here a clear, up-to-date and comprehensive explanation.

What is the access fee

The access fee is a measure introduced to regulate daily entry to the historic city of Venice on certain days of the year.

The aim is to encourage a more balanced management of tourist flows, protecting the liveability of the city and ensuring a better quality of experience for visitors.

When required

The contribution is only compulsory on the dates indicated in the official calendar published on the dedicated portal:

For 2026, the contribution is due from 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the following days:

The procedure is entirely online and involves:

  1. Access to the official portal

  4. Electronic payment
  5. Receiving a confirmation QR code

The QR code is proof of registration and can be requested in the event of checks.

Visiting Venice with awareness

Venice is a unique place in the world: a city suspended over water, with sudden silences, unexpected glimpses and atmospheres that change with the light of day.

Organising your visit knowing the rules of access in advance allows you to experience it with greater peace of mind: a stroll through the calli, a vaporetto ride on the Grand Canal, a break in a small osteria, the slow pace of a city that deserves respect and attention.

If you need support or operational guidance, our staff is always available to help you plan your day in the lagoon.

Between the pine forest and the sea, we are happy to accompany you beyond the campsite - with clear information and with the care that is part of our way of welcoming.
